Stuffed French Toast

Cooking Adventures: Stuffed French Toast
Happy Recipe to be used with Happy Call Square Cooking Pan
Ingredients:
1 loaf of uncut bread – egg bread, like challah works great, so does raisin bread, or plain white bread, experiment
1 pkg. soften cream cheese
1 jar of your favorite jam or jelly
3 eggs
2/3 cup milk
3 TBSP orange juice
Butter

Happy Call Recipes:
Using a serrated bread knife, cut the loaf into 1” thick slices, pair up your slices for “sandwiches”, on one side of each sandwich, spread a layer of cream cheese, on the other side, spread with jelly and assemble the sandwiches, press them together very well. In a bowl wide enough to accommodate the bread, mix the eggs, milk and orange juice together.
After that, heat the Happy Call pan to medium, add one TBSP of butter while it is melting, dredge your “sandwiches” in the egg mixture, then add to the pan, the number you can cook at one time depends on the your bread choice, probably two, snap handles shut and cook 3 minutes, flip, cook 3 more minutes, flip and open. The French Toast is done if both sides are a golden brown. Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar!
******** Variations: instead of jelly use peanut butter, or fresh fruit!
